Platform

OPENSUITE™ is designed as an integration platform to enable process management and data interchange between various independently developed open source business applications. The OPENSUITE™ platform takes a service-oriented approach to supply server-to-server middleware layer functionality. In addition, our OPENSUITE™ Integration Architecture lets organizations streamline business processes, while at the same time preserving meaningful session context and navigation across otherwise unrelated applications.

The OPENSUITE™ platform is the glue required to make independently developed open source applications act as though they were designed as an integrated suite.

OPENSUITE™ Supported Applications - Open source business management applications (such as CRM, ERP, ECM and Messaging) that are integrated with OPENSUITE™ Core Services using the OPENSUITE™ Integration Architecture. These open source applications are either certified to integrate into the OPENSUITE™ Integration Architecture, or operate seamlessly using OPENSUITE™ Application Connectors. The current OPENSUITE™ Supported Applications include Centric CRM, KnowledgeTree, Openbravo and Zimbra.

OPENSUITE™ Application Connectors - Modifications and additions applied to OPENSUITE™ Supported Applications that are used to create compatibility with OPENSUITE™ Core Services and are accessible using the OPENSUITE™ Integration Architecture.

OPENSUITE™ Workspace - A tab-based user interface designed to allow business users to easily navigate between OPENSUITE™ Supported Applications, while preserving the context of their sessions, and to follow predefined activities based on “best practice” workflows.

OPENSUITE™ Core Services - Aggregated functionality that includes general application services such as security, identity management, single sign-on, transaction management, logging and database connectivity, plus integration-specific Business Processes and individual Process Functions.

  • General Application Services – Administrative and application management functionality rendered through OPENSUITE™ Workspace.
  • Process Functions - Specific functions designed to be used and reused to create multiple Business Processes.
  • Business Processes - Logical business flows based on best practices that represent user-defined processes, which utilize defined Process Functions.
